Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (9) Each family child care home shall have a written disaster plan of action prepared on a form approved by the Department. All children, age and ability permitting, and the provider, the assistant provider, and other members of the household, shall be instructed in their duties under the disaster plan. As their age and ability permit, newly enrolled children shall be informed promptly of their duties as required in the plan. During LPAs inspection Licensee removed the Raid and placed it in the shed and locked the padlock in the shed. Based on LPAs observing poison (Raid) stored in unlocked Kitchen cabinet (underneath sink) and unlocked shed where poison's are stored. 102425(i) · 102425-Infant Safe Sleep-(i) If an infant falls asleep before being placed in a crib or play yard, the provider shall move the infant to a crib or play yard as soon as possible.
During LPA's inspection LPA provided Assistant with Technical Assistance regarding safe sleep regulations, Assistant removed child from high chair. Per Licensee Child #1 returned today after not attending since June 21, 2022 and kept play yard in the storage area. During LPAs visit Assistant placed play yard in the main day care room for Child #1 to use. Based on LPAs observation of Child #1 sleeping on high chair and no crib/play yard accessible to place child in. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care. Licensee will review PIN 20-24 CCP Regulations with Assistant and will email LPA Garcia by POC due date 09/08/22, written compliance plan that Licensee/Assistant have read and will comply with safe sleeep regulations in order to be in complaince.
