101416.5(b) · Staff-Infant Ratio. There shall be a ratio of one teacher for every four infants in attendance. This requirement is not being met as evidence by: interviews and record review conducted shows facility on at Facility has provided a plan along with staffing schedule to ensure that they remain in ratio at all times. Facility now has qualified substitute's filling in when regular staff are out and/or late. least a few days was following toddler ratio when they should have been following infant ratios. This has the potential to be a health and safety risk to children in care. Deficiency cleared during today's visit.

Director is to hold an in person all staff meeting with all teachers within the infant component. Personal Rights training must be a topic. Additionally, employee expectations memo regarding how staff are expected to treat children to be provided and signed by employees. This requirement is not being met as evidence by: Director stated that S1 was observed to hit a child's hand and telling the child to stop what they were doing. This poses a potential risk to the health and safety to the children in care. Copy of employee expectations memo with staff signatures and then signatures of staff in attendance of the training along with agenda topics to be submitted to LPA no later than 2/23/2024.
