  101229(a) · 1 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation.

  According to the assistant director, the facility conducted trainings regarding supervision and head count on 10/13/25. The trainings were conducted on staff development day to prevent similar incidents from occurring. LPA requests to send a verification of the training and the staff that attended by set due date of 10/31/25. Based on LPA staff interviews, the children napping in the Panda classroom were left unsupervised when the door closed in between Panda and Seals classroom. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
