Based on observation and interviews, the licensee did not comply with the section sited above, dust particles from construcion being performed on the play yard caused children and staff to cough and become ill which poses a health, safety or personal risk to children in care.

101223(a)(1) · 101223(a)(1)Personal Rights -To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons. Plan of Correction - The principal will submit a Plan of Correction to clear the violation by 6/29/23. The principal will have an In-Service Training meeting with the staff regarding personal rights and the process for referring children by July 12, 2023. This is evidenced by: The investigation revealed that children enrolled have been hit by other day care children. The staff have a plan implemented however a firmer plan is required to lessen the occurrences of children being hit or harmed. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care.
