The director agreed to send a statement with the staff’s names and signatures acknowledging the section on the Personal Rights of children. interviewing 7 staff and 7 children confirming child #1 (C1) has hurt them. There were 12 incident reports within 2 months indicated C1 has hurt other children and that the facility failed to prevent children from being hurt. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care The director will follow up with staff watch the videos regarding Personal Rights of children at the Department's website of: https://ccld.childcarevideos.org/child-care-center-operators/personal rights-in-child-care. Director Kathern De La Torre provided a written statement to LPA on 4-5-2023, stating she will provide staff training on Personal Rights by April 18, 2023.Director will provide sign in sheet for all staff that received the personal rights training.
Based on LPA’s interviews, 3 staff witnessed S1 yelling at day care children at the facility. This action poses an immediate risk to the health and safety to the child in care

101229(a)(1) · 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, Director agrees to conduct a staff training discussing care and supervision and developing a plan while on playground to meet all children's needs. The director will provide a meeting agenda and a role sheet signed by all staff names who attended the training. Director will forward these items to LPA via email stella.gutierrez@dss.ca.gov This regulation was not met as evidence by statements and observation that then children in the were not 100 % supervised by STAFF #1 on 12/06/2022 resulting in the incident occurring based on Child #1 statement.
