On 06/10/2021, the Director corrected the deficiency. On 06/10/2021, the Director had a professional vendor procure and disinfect the sand in the play-yard. The Director stated the cat has been removed from the premises and is no longer on the premises. The Director stated they will continue to ensure that the playground Based on interviews and documents obtained, the facility did not keep the sandbox free of hazardous foreign objects. A cat used the sandbox in the play-yard as a litterbox on multiple occasions and brought dead mice into the sandbox. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care. including the sandbox will be kept clean and free of any hazardous foreign materials by visually inspecting the playground each morning and throughout the day and the landscapers will continue to rake the sand and inspect it once a week. The Director also provided a written plan. The appeal rights were discussed and provided.
