102425(i) · If an infant falls asleep before being placed in a crib or play yard, the provider shall move the infant to a crib or play yard as soon as possible.
The licensee admitted leaving an infant in a car set to sleep for an extensive period of time while infant was in care at the facility Licensee provided a statement of understanding during inspection, after reviewed the New Safe Sleep Regulations Provider Information Notice (PIN) 20-24-CCP Safe Sleep Regulations in effect September 15, 2020. Per licensee she did not remove the child from the car seat because the child would wake up. "This poses an immediate Health and Safety risk to the children in care". Licensee ceased practice and understood that infants have to be move to an appropriate crib, and/or mat/cot. Licensees agree to submit proof of LIC 9227 and copy of sleeping log to CCL by 10/22/21. The licensee has agreed to have uncleared adults fingerprinted and provide proof to CCL by 07/09/21. Written statement was provided during the visit regarding Licensee acknowledging verification of clearance prior to residing at the facility as family and/or tenants. LIC 9163. LIC 508 was provided during inspection. LPAs observed one uncleared adult ( Jose Pedro Vasquez “Tio”) during inspection. In addition, Licensee admitted that he has assisted with daycare duties occasionally at the facility. This is an immediate Health and Safety risk to the children in care. Upon arrival to the facility, LPA's observed 15 children in care which is in excess of the licensed capacity. "This is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care".
