(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. The licensee will conduct a staff meeting to review Child Care Licensing regulation 101229 – Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision, along with the center’s procedures for classroom transitions to ensure proper supervision is maintained. This training will also be included in onboarding for all newly hired staff.
Based on staff interviews and records reviewed, it was confirmed that supervision was inadequate. A sign-in sheet will be used during the training. Staff will print their names, sign, and date their attendance. 101226.1(a) · (a) The licensee shall be responsible for ensuring that children with obvious symptoms of illness including, but not limited to, fever or vomiting, are not accepted. Licensee states that facility will continue to health screen at entry and monitor children throughout day for symptoms. Children presenting symptoms of COVID will not be admitted until child is clear of symptoms or a doctor's note has been provided. This was not met as evidenced by record review and interviews that indicate children were admmitted and had symptoms of COVID.
