101229(a)(1) · 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs.(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation. Site Supervisor Barbin provided a copy of the training staff received on 12/02/2024 regarding "Supervision". The training was provided by FUSD Early Learning Center and Site Supervisior Barbin provided LPA Herrera with a list of all staff who attended the training.
Based on interviews, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. During today's inspection LPA gathered information that staff left a child unattented for approximately 5 minutes which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. , Site Supervisor stated that facility will do the following: 1. Submit a letterhead on how staff will ensure that all children are being accounted for. Letter will be submitted to CCL by POC due date 1/17/24 2. Complete a staff training on supervision and provide proof of training materials and staff that Facility had submitted to CCL two UIR's incidents for 1/10/24 and 1/11/24 regarding Child 1 and Child 2 not being supervised. LPA interviewed Staff and it was confirmed that incidents did occur. This poses an immediate Health and Safety risk to children in care. attended the training. Site supervisor stated training will be held on 1/18/24 3. Site Supervisor stated that all classrooms will have doorbell rings to help staff ensure that no child is walking out of the classroom.
