101223(a)(1) · Personal Rights (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons This was evidenced by Center Director will plan a Personal Rights training for all staff and publish a letter stating that the teacher in question has signed and is no longer a threat to children on care. by 7/26/2024 During staff interviews conducted by LPA, by way of admission, there was a verbal admission by staff that a child was not accorded dignity with a teacher, teacher yelled harshly at a child, which poses an immediate risk to the health, safety or personal rights to children in care.

101223(a)(3) · Personal Rights (a)The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights: (3) To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse or other actions of a punitive nature Center Director will provide proof that staff in question has been permanently removed, physically and remotely for the facility by way of letter on facility letterhead. This was evidenced by During interviews, staff by verbal admission confirmed that the action and injuries had occured, which pose an immediate risk to the health, safety or personal rights to children in care.

LPA may attend meeting scheduled by Center Director. Center Director will have staff review the CCLD video regarding personal Rights and have a staff meeting to discuss best practices for handling children with challenging behaviors. LPA will attend staff meeting scheduled by Center Director and must be conducted by 6/14/2024. This was evidenced by S2 used spray bottle filled with water to calm child down to stop a tantrum and prevent injury, which posed a potential risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
