Staff placed diaper creams and over the counter ointments on the top shelf in the toddler bathroom and made it inaccessible to children. Deficiency cleared at time of visit. LPA observed that the cubbies in the toddler bathroom had diaper creams and over the counter ointments that were within children's reach which poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to persons in care.

101416.2(c)(1) · Infant Care Teacher Qualifications and Duties (c) To be a fully qualified infant care teacher, a teacher shall have the following: (1) Completion, with passing grades, of 12 postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood or child development education at an accredited or approved college or university.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed 1 staff did not meet the teacher qualification in the classroom which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
