Safety precautions shall include but not be limited to: Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children.
Licensee states that she will provide a written declaration to the Department stating that she will ensure the home is a safe environment for day care children, at all times.Additionally, she will provide the LPA a copy of a log that she will keep to check each room of any hazards prior to facility operation. Based on observation, interview, and record review, illegal narcotics were located in an unsecured area of the home, accessible to children, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.

Licensee states that she will provide a written declaration to the LPA by 11/05/2024 clarifying that her adult son no longer resides in the home, has not been around day care children, and he will not reside in the home without being fingerprint cleared and associated prior. Based on observation, interview, and record review, Department’s Investigative Branch (IB), found Kai Walsh, who is a uncleared adult, residing in the day care home, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to children in care.
