101229(a) · (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs.(1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Acting Director (AD) will create a bus unloading supervision policy for both 1 and 2 staff members ; including unloading to the sidewalk. Staff members who transport children will sign a copy of the policy and be kept in their personnel file. AD will email LPA the policy by 6/28/23. Supervision shall include visual observation.

Assistant Director (AD) said she will hold a staff training where they will go over classroom management and how to prevent these types of situations. AD will provide LPA with a copy of the attendance sheet with signatures. AD will also provide all currently enrolled families with a copy of LPA learned a parent addressed a day care child in an inappropriate and threatening manner in the classroom. Although staff intervened & took steps to prevent future incidents, all accounts corroborated the incident occurring. This poses an immediate risk to the health & safety of children in care. pg. 32 of the parent handbook: Suspension and Explusion, and remind families that a child or family member's behavior or actions that threaten or endanger the safety and well-being of other children or staff can result in suspension and/or explusion.
