101161(a) · 101161a-Limitations on Capacity-A licensee shall not operate a child care center beyond the conditions and limitations specified on the license, including the capacity limitation. The licensee was informed to cease operating today. The parents were informed when they picked up their children at 12pm. The licensee agrees to cease operating and will submit a plan of correction to the Department by 8/15/25 via email veronica.wheatley@dss.ca.gov This is evidenced by LPA V. Wheatley observed six preschool children being supervised by three staff members. The program operates two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 12pm. The licensee does not have a preschool license. This is an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care according to Title 22 Regulation. The licensee/administrators are interested in submitting a plan to request Exemption from Licensure.

The licensee did not inform the Department of closure. The facility has been closed since June 2025 due to low enrollment. The staff are unsure if the school program will reopen in the fall. Th is a potential risk to the health and safety of children in care.
