102417(l) · Operation of a Family Child Care Home. When transporting infants in any motor vehicle, the licensee shall secure the infants in a car seat, designed for infants, which is secured in the vehicle in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. This was not met as evidenced by; LPA reviewed car seat law poster with Licensee. Licensee posted the poster. Licensee stated she understands the law and how all children under 2 must be in a car seat rear facing, and that all children under 8 year-old or shorter than 4'9 shall be in a car seat or booster in the back seat. LPA's observation of Child #1 in a car seat not rear faced. This poses an Immediate Health and Safety risk to the clients in care.
