102417(g)(4)(C) · Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children. (C) Ammunition shall be stored and locked separately from firearms.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on the observation, the Licensee did not meet the above regulation which poses a potential safety risk to the children in care. During the facility tour the Licensee was unable to open a lock box where ammunition is stored. POC Due Date: 07/21/2025
