101229(a)(1) · 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation.
The facility shall submit a written plan to the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) outlining how staff will consistently ensure visual supervision of all children in care. All staff shall undergo mandatory training on Title 22 supervision requirements, with emphasis on always maintaining direct visual supervision. The facility shall obtain staff signatures to confirm their understanding of the training. Additionally, all staff will be required to view the "Supervising Children in Child Care Centers" video available at ccld.childcarevideos.org and submit a written statement summarizing their understanding of proper supervision practices. The facility has scheduled in house training on care and supervision for today, 02/12/2026. The Director will submit a statement confirming that all teachers have completed the training, along with the sign in sheet and documentation of their understanding, by the POC due date. During the inspection LPA obtained the agenda of the training. Based on the interviews and record reviews, the facility did not comply with the section cited above. (C1) was left unattended in the bathroom for approximately 3:00 minutes, which poses an potential health and safety risk to children in care. One-on-one training was completed with the staff member involved, and LPA obtained the training documentation during the visit.
