101227(a)(7)(B) · 101227 Food Services (a) In child care centers providing meals to children, the following shall apply:..(7) Modified diets prescribed by a child's physician...shall be provided...(B)A child shall not be served any food to which the child's record indicates he/she has an allergy. Director, Kelly Twibell, states that staff training was conducted immediately following the incident and the facility has also implemented red trays in addition to their current food alert cards for meals to be served on for children with food allergies. The citation has been cleared during today's visit. This regulation was not met as evidenced by C1 was served a food that contained their food allergy. This poses an immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care. 101229(a)(1) · 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a)... shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1)No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time... Supervision shall include visual observation. The Director has implemented different dismissal and supervision strategies, installed a carabiner to prevent children from opening the gate, informed parents about gate safety and planned staff trainings. LPA cleared the deficiency. This requirement has not been met as evidenced by Facility self-reported an incident where a child exited the facility unsupervised.
