Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (1) Fireplaces and open face heaters shall be screened to prevent access by children. The home shall contain a fire extinguisher and smoke detector device which meet standards established by the State Fire Marshall.

    Deficient Practice Statement Based on LPA Calderon in garage (day care room) observed a baby bouncer whom Licensee stated belongs to grandson. LPA stated to place in an off limits area and in addition garage is a day care room and reminded Licensee garage is not to be used for eating or napping and reminded Licensee child should receive safe, healthful, and comfortable accommodations, furnishings, and equipment. LPA observed napping children in garage, 2 were sleeping and napping equipment was set up for the other children, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in [2] out of [2] safety and healthful accomendations for children which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
