102423(a)(2) · Personal Rights: (a) Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rights that shall not be waived or abridged by the licensee regardless of consent or authorization from the child's authorized representative. The licensee states the she will review the CDC and CDSS websites for current guidance on Covid-19 and submit a statement summarizing and acknowledging the guidance by POC due date. Based on LPA interviews with the licensee, helper and parents, and a record review the licensee did not follow CDC and CDSS Covid-19 guidelines/recommendations when the licensee and her daughter (H1) failed to quarantine for a full 7 days after a trip to Mexico. H1 tested positive for Covid-19. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.

The licensee states she will submit a LIC624B detailing the incident. The licensee will also watch the video on Child Care Reporting Requirements located on the department website, ( https://ccld.childcarevideos.org/family-child-care-providers/ ), and provide a written summary to LPA by POC due date. Based on LPA's interview with licensee and record review, the licensee did not submit a written report, LIC624B, to the department to advise that her helper (H1) tested positive for Covid-19 on 7/12/21 and quarantined inside of the facility when daycare children were present.
