When circumstances require the licensee to be temporarily absent from the home, the licensee shall arrange for a substitute adult to care for and supervise the children during his/her absence. 102425(h) · Infant Safe Sleep. Car seats shall only be used for transportation purposes and shall not be used for sleeping.
Based on LPA's observation upon arrival, Infant #1, was asleep in a car seat. This is a potential hazard to children in care. This was corrected at today's visit Licensee stated that she was not aware that the child could not stay in their car seat if they arrive asleep. She moved the infant immediately to a portable crib in the napping room.

Licensee stated that she was aware of the requirement for the Individual Sleeping Plans, but did not note that sleep checks were required to be logged. Licensee stated that she routinely checks on the sleeping infants at least every 15 minutes currently. She will complete the sleep logs for this week and send a copy of them to Based upon observation, file review and conversation with Licensee, no documentation was on file for Infants #1-4. This is a potential hazard to children in care. Licensing as verification of correction by 7/23/21. She will keep future sleep logs on file for evaluation by Licensing at subsequent visits.
