The facility held a training for all staff regarding their Teaching Strategies, particularly at times of transition. The facility has also added additional staff to support the teachers during transitional times and reinforce their procedures. Per area manager, Jennifer Piccinini, modifications to the outdoor play areas are already being discuseed and include changing the fence dividing the two areas, replacing latch on self closing gate, and an all staff meeting discussing children supervision will be held tonight. based on it being reported a child (C1) was left unsupervised in an adjacent play yard for approximately 15 minutes before staff/teachers were aware. On August 11, 2021, mandatory staff training was conducted. The agenda included Supervision, Policies & Procedures, and different type of Supervision scenarios for the staff members to engage in. In addition to face checks, teachers are required to conduct a head count before and after transitioning, and confirmation of the count between the two teachers before and after the transition is now required.
