102417(g)(6) · The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not be limited to: (6) Outdoor play areas shall be either fenced, or outdoor play shall be supervised by the licensee or caregiver.
Licensee has implemented a new headcount process for children when outside the facility. Licensee will use temporary fencing when children are outside the facility, which will be ready for use on 1/22/26. Licensee has shown LPAs the new headcount procedure and willl email LPA a picture of the temporary fencing set up by 1/22/26. During outdoor activity in an unfenced area, an unsupervised child (C1) wandered away from the facility for an undetermined amount of time, which poses an immediate risk to the Health, Safety or Personal Rights to children in care. This is a zero tolerance violation. An immediate $500 is assessed today and $100 per day will be assessed until corrected. Subsequent zero tolerance violations are $1000 immediate civil penalty and $100 per day will be assessed until corrected.
