Observed two classrooms that did not know how many children that they had in care. One classroom stated that they had 15 children but actually had 16 children in care. Another classroom caregiver stated that they did not know how many children they had in the classroom, Licensing counted the children and there was 17 children.

I observed two infant classrooms that had infants sleeping in bouncy seats. One classroom had one infant sleeping in a bouncy and the teacher got up and removed the infant as they seen licensing walk in the room. The second classroom had two infants sleeping in bouncy seats. I asked the caregivers to place the infants in their cribs and this was completed during inspection. I explained to all infant caregivers that infants cannot sleep in bouncy seats and that they are used for play and not sleeping.

Observed a caregiver place a sleeping infant on their stomach in the crib. I spoke to the caregiver about always laying infants on their backs and if the infant can roll to their stomachs then they can leave them in that position. The infant was turned around on their back. An administrative penalty will be recommended as a result of this citation, per HRC ?42.078.
