416.6(i) · Any motor vehicle, other than a public form of transportation, used to transport children in care at the group family day care home must have a current registration and inspection sticker.

416.6(l) · The program must openly display daily transportation schedules.

413.4(b) · The following criminal history review and background clearances shall be conducted pursuant to and consistent with the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act in accordance with a schedule developed by the Office for any existing operator, director, employee or volunteer at a child day care center, small day care center, school-age child care program, group family day care home or family day care home, and any person age eighteen (18) or older living in a group family day care home or family day care home:

416.5(a)(1)(i) · The program must take suitable precautions to prevent the following: serious injury of a child while in care at the program or being transported by the program; and

416.5(l)(7) · The program must provide parents with a written description of all animals kept on the premises prior to a child's enrollment in the program.

416.6(a) · The Licensee must obtain written consent on forms furnished by the Office or approved equivalents from the parent of the child for any transportation of the children in care at the group family day care home provided or arranged for by a caregiver.

416.6(c) · Parents must be informed of and agree to a transportation plan.

416.6(f) · All children must be secured in child safety seats properly installed per manufacturers recommendations, or with safety belts, as appropriate for the age of the child in accordance with the requirements of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, before any child may be transported in a motor vehicle where such transportation is provided or arranged for by the licensee.

416.6(h) · Drivers must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current valid license to drive the class of vehicle they are operating.

416.8(a) · Children cannot be left without competent supervision at any time. Competent supervision includes awareness of and responsibility for the ongoing activity of each child. It requires that all children be within a caregiver's range of vision except as provided in section 416.8(b) of this Part and that the caregiver be near enough to respond when redirection or intervention strategies are needed. Competent supervision must take into account the child's age, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

416.11(h)(1)(i) · The caregivers also must: obtain written consent at the time of admission from the parent which authorizes the provider or other caregivers to obtain emergency health care for the child;

416.14(c) · Each employee and volunteer must complete a minimum of thirty (30) hours of training every two years. The required 30 hours of training every two years is subject to the following conditions:

416.15(b)(4) · The caregivers, employees, volunteers and all members of the household must be in good health and be of good character and habits.

416.15(b)(12) · The group family day care home must report to the Office: any change affecting, or which reasonably might be expected to affect, those portions of the building and property in which the program is operating or which are used for the children's egress in the case of emergency; any change in household members; and any other change that would place the home out of compliance with applicable regulations.

416.15(b)(20) · No person other than a caregiver may have unsupervised contact with a child in care at the program.

416.15(c)(4) · The program must maintain on file at the group family day care home, available for inspection the names and addresses of persons authorized to take the child(ren) from the group family day care home;

416.15(c)(5) · The program must maintain on file at the group family day care home, available for inspection daily attendance records that are filled out at the time a child arrives and departs, and must include arrival and departure times;
