102417(g)(4) · Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, firearms and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in LPAs observed knives to be placed in a drawer in the kitchen were the safety latch was broken, leaving the knives accessible to children in care. LPAs observed cleaning solutions under the kitchen where the safety latch was broken and the solutions were made accessible which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. 102425(j)(1) · Infant Safe Sleep The provider shall supervise infants while they are sleeping and adhere to the following requirements: The provider shall physically check on the infant every 15 minutes.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in licensee's assistant stated that October 24, 2024 was the last day the sleeping log was completed and Child #2 and Child #4 have been present at the facility which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
