Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (1) Fireplaces and open face heaters shall be screened to prevent access by children. The home shall contain a fire extinguisher and smoke detector device which meet standards established by the State Fire Marshall.
Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in Licensee stated that she purchased the fire extinguiser less than a year ago; however, Licensee couldn't find the receipt. Licensee attached the receipt from last years purchase 02/11/23, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. POC Due Date: 04/09/2024
