102423(a)(4) · Each child receiving services from a family child care home shall have certain rights... These rights include, To be free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse, or other actions of a punitive nature Licensee will review the aforementioned section. Licensee will write a letter stating she unnerstands the aforementioned citation/regulation or write a letter which part of the regualtion she needs clarification. Licensee will watch a training video on the CDSS website regarding personal rights. Licensee will write a summary detailing what she learned from the video. The written summary will be submitted to the flollowing email: german.negrete@dss.ca.gov. This regulation was note met as evidence by. Documents collected/reviewed revelaed Licensee spoke innapropriatey to child(C3) in care.

102417(g)(1) · Operation of A Family Child Care Home (g) The home shall be free from defects or conditions which might endanger a child. Safety precautions shall include but not limited to: (1) Fireplaces and open face heaters shall be screened to prevent access by children. The home shall contain a fire extinguisher and smoke detector device which meet standards established by the State Fire Marshall.

Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in the fire extinguisher was last serviced on 6/5/23 which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. POC Due Date: 04/03/2025
