Based on interviews and review of supportive documents it was found that there were instances where staff inappropriately handled and inappropriately spoke to children in care. Facility to amend contracts for part time students to ensure that thhe children come on scheduled days to ensure that capacity is maintained. Sample of updated contract to be sent via email to kassandra.medrano@dss.ca.gov. The facility will be on vacation untill 12/1/25 and is requesting the POC date to reflect. Based on observations, interviews, and record reviews there were 55 children present when the facility has a listed capacity of 50 children. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to children in care. 101229(a)(1) · 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs.(1)No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time, except as specified in Sections 101216.2(e)(1) and 101230(c)(1). Supervision shall include visual observation.
Facility to conduct a training for general supervision as well as restroom supervison, and send document with outline of training with staff signatures acknowledging requirements. Send via email to Kassandra.medrano@dss.ca.gov Based on observations 9 children entered restrooms without adult supervision and were left unspervised for approximated two minutes until S2 found them. This posed a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
